A feary tale

It 's a dark, moonless Halloween night and Annika is dressed up as a witch, ready to trick or treat.

"Hi Tomy, you look great as a ghost!"

But then the real Tomy enters the room, dressed up as a vampire.
"You're not Tomy, aaaah!"

Tomy and Annika run out and away from the ghost as soon as they can.

But when they run through the park they see Arne Vaa hanging from a lightpost!

There are grinning skeletons everywhere!

They have nowhere to turn for safety but to Polly Line's house.

When they get there they see the man known as dr Whatson leaving the house with an axe in his hand. "There has always been something fishy about that man", she thinks. Relieved, they go inside

only to discover a beheaded Polly Line lying in a large puddle of blood on her kitchen floor!

There's a sudden noise. They turn around and see the doctor coming towards them with dead eyes and the axe still in his hand!!
Annika screams

and wakes up in her own bed, her heart beating, but relieved that it was all a nightmare!
She calls "Tomy, do you know what I dreamt tonight? Tomy, Tomy?"

She leaves the bed to wake up Tomy.

"Tomy? Aaaah!"

Credit: Annika's witch hat was made by Bendik and he helped me with the ideas for this story too.
No pumpkins were harmed during the making of this post.

Never mind pumpkins, what about Arne Vaa and Polly Line? Wow, Bendik has some imagination - I hope I don't have nightmares now - and I wonder if Annika could go back to sleep, after finding that huge spider on Tomy's bed. Eeeuch, I hate big spiders since wathcing Lost in Space as a child!!

Happy Halloween!

Oh Gosh Helene, You are incredibly funny. I was drawn in by the first photo. You should make movies or have a comedy show. Oh so darn funny... Best thing to get hurt would be the pumpkins and not Polly Line. Thanks for making me laugh. Trick or Treat.

Happy Halloween Rebecca! Since it was just a dream, both Polly Line and Arne Vaa are sound and safe, luckily I had a stand-in doll for Polly Line. I surely wouldn't like to find a spider like that in my bed!, but I don't mind small ones. (Luckily we don't have poisonous spiders in Norway) I must admit my imagination is slightly more morbid than Bendik's. The scene with the beheaded Polly Line and the doctor was all mine :-)

Trick or treat Amy, I'm really flattered by your praise, but I think I'll stick to blogging :-)
Thanks for laughing :-)

Thanks Annina, and thanks for the link, so many great rooms and death to study! But I believe my post deals more with the explained death...

Happy Halloween Betsy! I wasn't sure I would do a Halloween post this year, but I was inspired by your fabulous photo story! And I was also glad when I found out Annika was just sleeping. I wouldn't have known how to continue blogging if not :-)
Apart from the hat made by my son Bendik, Annika's costume is made of two different Polly Pocket outfits.
I think this year Annika stayed home and got her candy from the big iron pot in the hall instead.

Thanks callsmall, you know I have always had a morbid sense of humour and it's not the first time I've gone "all out". When I was in elementary school, I wrote an essay about how I came home and found my whole family dead in the attic! (I can't remember it myself, but it caused some problems for my poor parents, so they remember it vividly :-))

Thanks Glenda, I'm so glad you liked it! I was a bit worried how you would feel about the doctor being pictured like this, even if it was just a dream. I must admit I got a bit scared myself when I saw the pictures of him with that look in his eyes! I hope Polly Line doesn't read my post!

Madam C, take two martinis each day to help you relax and come back in a week if it doesn't help!

This is one of my favorites! Ha ha--great humor...humour. Smiles

Thanks MC, I think it must be humor, no English subtlety in this post :-)

Never mind the Pumpkins - what happened to Polly!!!!

Pubdoll said...

Hi Pan! Polly appreciates your concern for her, but don't worry. I used a Polly look-alike doll I had. (And unlike Polly it has never been alive :-))

May I just vote this the best photo/art/miniature Halloween story for this year?

I remember how much I loved what you did last year. And I will remember next year how VERY MUCH I love this one . You must NEVER stop doing this, my dear. And you must must tell me how you did all that??!!! Esp Dr Whatson! Who by the way, must surely be a Dr Who doll? That's a marked resemblance.

Everything is wonderfully executed. All the costumes are fabulous, please tell Bendik I love that hat! Tomy the Vampire is scary and the hanging Arne even more so! I couldn't believe you killed Polly Line that way. Morbid can't begin to describe it. You are a HOOOOOT! But it is really scary! Not just kiddish scary but really scary! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT1

*Stick TOP PRIZE ribbon on this post :):).
