Valentine's day

Today Nora got a visit from Polly Line who just had to show someone the two giant bouquets of flowers she had received today! None of them came with a a card to tell who had given them to her, but she thought (and hoped) that she knew at least one of them :-)

Polly Line was quite surprised to find Nora still in her Carnival outfit and told her so. Nora blushed and said it was because Helmer really had liked her in it! And Nora had no reason to be envious of Polly Lines many flowers either. Helmer must have tried to make amends for last year when she didn't get anything, so he had filled all the vases in the living room. And since it's also Mothers day in Norway today, he and the children had even baked a heartshaped chocolate cake and decorated it with tiny chocolate hearts.

Before the party

ENG: I just wanted to show you some photos from the reception room. In a few minutes the guests arrive and I won't get another chance :-)

NOR: Jeg ville bare vise dere selskapslokalet før gjestene kommer og ødelegger idyllen :-)

La vespetta

NOR: Helmer fikk denne bittelille vespaen (til høyre..) laget av en av jentene i det kommende palasset til Sans, som likte bildene av ham på vespaen hans så godt! Vespaen kom ulakket, som du kan se her. Men nå har han fått lakket den og var så fornøyd med resultatet at han tok med vespaen til Karl Edo Spooks hus for å få skryt av ham og Arne Vaa.

ENG: Helmer got this tiny vespa (to the right..) from one of the girls from Sans' palace-to-be , who liked the pictures of him on his vespa very much. The vespa came unpainted, as you can see here. But now he has got it painted and was so pleased with the result, he took the vespa to Karl Edo Spook's place to show it off to him and Arne Vaa. When I took this photo of them for the blog, he waved his hand to say hi and thanks to Sans' girl!

NOR: Nå står vespaen på arbeidsrommet hans, så han kan kikke på den og drømme seg bort.
ENG: Now the vespa's in his study, so he can look at it and let his dreams fly east.

Puff daddy

ENG: Yesterday I came home late from work and brought in the mail even later and found a parcel from Susan in Singapore aka Sans. Inside there were several wonderful gifts for Nora and Helmer!
The first two pics show just the gifts and the following emporial card. The fabulous hookah is Sans' own design and you can read more about them here and here. She knew I love elephants too, and gave me these beautiful elephants made into candleholders by her.
According to Sans, one of her Palace girls has a crush on Helmer and has made him the tiny Vespa in the background! Naturally Helmer was flattered and he absolutely loved the Vespa! Thank you so much Sans! Helmer sends his thanks too!

NOR: I går kom jeg sent hjem fra jobb og hentet inn posten enda senere og fant en pakke fra Susan i Singapore alias Sans. Den var fylt med mange nydelige små gaver til Nora og Helmer!
De første to bildene er bare av gavene og kortet som lå ved. Den flotte vannpipa er Sans egen design og du finner mer om dem her og her . Hun visste jeg liker elefanter og ga meg også disse nydelige elefantene som hun har gjort om til lysestaker.
I følge Sans, har en av jentene hennes i palasset stor sans for Helmer og har laget den bittelille Vespaen på bildet til ham! Selvfølgelig ble Helmer smigret og han bare elsker Vespaen!

ENG: Apparently Helmer really loved the hookah too, he has been puffing the whole evening until the surroundings got blurry.

NOR: Helmer likte visst vannpipa også, han har pattet og blåst hele kvelden til omgivelsene begynte å bli tåkete.
