* Trick or treat

Happy Halloween!

Credits: The pumpkins are made by me and son out of fimo. (I have never had a real pumpkin, so I hope they look about right)

Happy Halloween, and happy All Souls Day! The pumpkins look great. Roast pumpkin is one of my favourite foods, and a salad with cold roast pumpkin, baby spinach and pine nuts is very popular here now. And pumpkin soup is yummy too. I've grown pumpkins, they're not that hard here, but I guess they like warm weather!

Your pumpkins look just fine! Better than fine, my dear, they look REAL! I love your pictures. Who needs a picture that say a thousand word, they need only say one, SPOOK! :)

I think all your ghosts are adorable! Too bad I can't see their faces. But what I really want to know is how you made Helmer look so terrified??? Pure stroke of genius. That face just made my day. *still giggling.

I agree with Sans: It is so interesting, how dolls change their face-expression with the change of her body-posture. I saw it so often on flickr, where some wonderful doll-fotographers show us these phenomenom.
I like the pumpkins too, they look real, congrats!
And Rebecca, I am no gardener, but I think I have heard, that pumpkins grow beside the compost and are very modest.
I like to hear the expression All Soul Day, because as I learned it in my childhood on the 1st of November we think of the people who are gone before us and make the graves nicer with flowers.

Thank you Rebecca and happy All Souls Day! I don't think I have ever tasted pumpkins, but you made me want to try it!

Thank you Sans, I thought the pumpkins were okay, but I wasn't sure! The spook in the Spook House was my familys idea! The trick or treat "ghost" hasn't much of a face to look at, because undeneath the coat he/she is wearing a silver mask.

If Helmer's face has a terrified expression it's pure luck or perhaps because his face is a bit blurry? But I would have become afraid too if that creepy person with the green fire had been standing on my doorstep :-)

Thank you Oese, I'm glad all of you liked my first try on making pumpkins. Perhaps next year I can manage to make them with light inside too. Traditionally, All Souls Day has been more important than Halloween for me as well, with lights on the graves of deceased family members. But because I now have children that dress up and do the "trick or treat" thing, or "knask eller knep" as they say here, we thought it would be funny to have someone showing up on Helmer's doorstep as well. (I just had to make a doorstep and a little facade first)

Very neat! Love it! I love Helmer's shirt, too! And your pumpkins do look very real. This year we bought two huge pumpkins and carved them with silly faces. My daughter and I separated out the seeds from the pulp and roasted them with salt and oil. Very tasty snack!! I hope your kids had fun yesterday!

Thanks callsmall! Even though I never tried it, the roasted pumpkinseeds sounds jummy! You and your daughter do so much nice things together!
Yesterday my son went as a werewolf to a Halloween party and my daughter dressed up as a witch and went out "Trick or treat"-ing with some friends. They both came home with loads of candy, so I think they both had fun :-)

And happy Halloween to you, Ara!
Ha, ha, I was very happy to see that everything spooky had vanished when I woke up this morning!
Congratulations with the successful swap!

Your pumpkins are great, as are the spooky scenes. We had pumpkin soup today on All Souls Day and I've tried roasting the seeds, they've come out quite well. I hope you get to eat pumpkin one day - I love all the squash family, especially butternut.
