The Stavanger trade show* - preparations

ENG: Karl Edo Spook wants to expand his business, so when he heard about the big trade show in Stavanger the last week of August, he was eager to attend so he could show his furniture there. He engaged Polly Line to design two rooms for the Spook House stand and here is the result:

NOR: Karl Edo Spook ønsker å utvide virksomheten, så da han hørte om den store handelsmessen som skulle være i Stavanger den siste uka i august, ville han delta så han kunne vise fram sortimentet sitt der. Han engasjerte derfor Polly Line til å designe to utstillingsrom og her er resultatet:

* ENG: For the visitors in 1:1 scale the show was marketed as "
The embroidery, doll's house and teddybear days 2009"

* NOR: For gjester i målestokk 1:1 markedsførtes messen som "Broderi-, dukkehus- og teddybjørndagene 2009
"

Room with green wall: Arne Jacobsen Egg chair from Minimii (present from Cocco!), table is self-made of a slice of agate and wood beads. Picture frames and low shelf are Lundby and the other shelf is re-ment. Eames elephant is from Reac. Accessories are Lundby, Re-ment and random finds.

Ohhhhh! How do you like the Minimii furniture?

Hi Modern MC! I love it, so elegant details and it's even smaller than my old Brio egg chair from I was a child. It swirls (very) easily too. I've done some calculating. If this chair is 1:16, the old one must be about 1:14 scale.

You are a whiz with Lego. Where is this green room? Is it a roombox? Love all the details and the handmade table is great. And, we ALL need friends like Cocco!!!:) Hope the fair was fun -- did you get anything?

Thanks callsmall! The "green room" is the room with the egg chair. Both rooms are wood drawers from Ikea, lent from Cocco's lego table. (I'm not the only one who loves lego)
And yes, Cocco's fabulous, isn't she? I got so much cool stuff from her, that I'm really looking forward to show you all later. And I also got many beautiful minis at the fair, also to be shown on posts to come :-)

What a clever use of a drawer! By the way, I did not express myself very well -- when I said "where" was the green room, I meant was it in one of your houses! Perhaps this is because I cannot write or think straight today??? I stayed home sick with a bad cold and my head feels like it weighs 50 lbs. :) Can't wait to see your new minis!

Oh, my fault! It was displayed at the fair along with other roomboxes and houses! More pictures will come! Sorry you're not well, hope you get better soon!

Hey Helene, wow so you exhibited at the Stavangar show? You must tell me all about it! Must be so exciting for you :). These rooms are very Karl. Polly Line really got it on the dot and I am sure Karl is really pleased!

Thanks Sans! I've missed you, glad you're back :-)
To exhibit was not such a big deal really, yes I (or infact Karl Edo) was asked to come with something modern, but anyone who had roomboxes or houses they wanted to exhibit were most welcome to do so.
But yes, Karl was very pleased :-)
