Paint it white

ENG: Polly Line wanted a house, but hadn't found the perfect one yet. Instead she bought a small Lundby prefabricated house in which she could live while searching for the house of her dreams. It was a bit oldfashioned, with small paned windows and dated wallpapers and exterior, but Polly Line painted both the interior and exterior walls white and replaced the living room window with a larger one with a nice view to the patio. She was quite pleased with the end result!

ENG: To the left: The living room door is also updated.
To the right: This window Polly Line kept unaltered.

ENG: Here is the house before the restoration. The picture is from the Lundby company's homepage.
NOR: Her er huset før oppussingen. Bildet er fra Lundbys hjemmeside.

Credits: The house is a Lundby Småland extension floor. The pavement are coasters from a second-hand store. The back wall of the patio is an Ikea soap dish and the other wall is a wooden table mat. The door handle is made of tiny beads.

Brilliant! I look forward to seeing how Polly Line furnishes her house.
I thought at first you had made the little holes in the back wall, to put up wires to train a plant over. Then I realised they were already there! I would never have known what the paving and walls were originally.

Thank you Rebecca! Polly Line is quite eager to move in, so I hope it won't take too long before she's settled in :-)

Thanks callsmall! You're most welcome, but I must warn you, two rooms aren't a lot of space to live in :-)

Danke Oese! (I must write this in English, too much for me in German)

I have loved using the extension floors, since they can stand alone or on top of another when I need more rooms, because they come ready wired and because I can't saw a straight line!

I used a knife to cut the hole in the wall, it took a while since it's hard plastic, afterwards I painted it using three coats of the same oil paint I used for the wooden walls in my daughters room, the first was a base coat that sticks to anything. (I painted the room and the house at the same time :-)) Then I glued a sheet of clear plastic to the outside of the wall as a window before I covered it with a precut exterior cardboard wall in the same shape as the interior wall, also painted white

LOL! Fancy someone already wanting to live in Polly's empty house! She must be a really "hot" designer. But I think I know what Callsmall mean. Your photography is great, Helene, it makes the whole place looks realistic, like it is a cubist home in a field . The sunshine too makes the "house" look warm & cosy and full of potential, even without any furnishing.

Ha, ha, thanks Modern MC!

Thanks Sans, Polly Line loved to hear that :-) She just hope people won't be disappointed seeing the house after it's furnished and with all her knick knacks!
