The Stavanger trade show - and the show is on!

ENG: Karl Edo had a sudden businesscall and had to go to Paris, so he sent Polly Line to the Stavanger trade show and Nora went too to keep her company and to do some shopping. They travelled directly from Skien with Vildanden (The wild duck) airlines. In Stavanger when the two rooms for the Spook House stand was well in order they went visiting the other stands there.

Here are some pictures taken during the day:

ENG: The girls are admiring Tove's Christmas window and also found some very nice things in her shop.
ENG: Here they are at one of her other beautiful displays.

ENG: Nora was looking for a new sewing table at Kristín from Iceland's shop for exquisite handmade furniture and found a really nice round table there which she bought.
The girls also visited Rita's lovely quilt shop.

ENG: A must-see was the food market of Christel Jensen, a worldknown supplier and maker of gourmet food. Because of the flight home Nora just bought some jars with pickles and other goodies, and some of Christel's famous bread, even though she wanted to buy almost everything she saw there.

ENG: After all the shopping the girls were tired and took a break in one of the Spook House rooms..

ENG: ..before they kept on looking at more exhibitions, as this cosy mountain cabin and this display in blue and white with more classic styled furniture.

ENG: Some miniatures were also exhibited at the trade show.
Nora and Polly Line were amazed by all the small details and surely would liked one of them for themselves!
And they both thought the giant doll with miniature houses inside was a very funny idea!

ENG: The Spook House stand from a distance.
The house you see in the background is "The Orchid House"
NOR: Spook House-utstillingen med omgivelser.
Huset du ser i bakgrunnen er "The Orchid house".

Brilliant photos, Helene! What a pity Karl Edo couldn't go too, but the girls clearly had a wonderful time shopping and admiring, and no doubt getting lots of ideas too.
I'm a little concerned about the reappearance of the tall handsome stranger - he is very familiar with dolls, mechanical toys, mannequins and other inanimate representations of people, which come alive!

I love love love how you brought your girls along to the show and then let them tell the stories through the pictures. What a fresh "perspective" (in more sense than 1)! At once, we can tell the scale of the minis through Polly and Nora. I think vendors are also more receptive to you taking pictures, right?

It is as if you can guess when we will want to take a break from all that up and down when you put the girls in the room to take a break :) :). I do that everytime I go with my sisters on one of their trade exhibitions.

I have truly enjoyed the Stavangar show, Helene. You have picked some wonderful exhibits.

I am looking forward to seeing what you have bought (especially the round table :)).

Thanks Rebecca :D
I think the show was a bit closer to Nora's taste than Karl Edo's, so I think it was for the best only the girls went.
There were a lot of loose heads exhibited there I was afraid should come to life, or the giant doll with houses inside, but luckily they didn't :)

Thanks Sans! The girls were indeed nice travelling company, I think they will be returning next year as well :-) And all the vendors were very nice and allowed me to move their things for the photos.
The things I bought will be posted, but I'm not sure yet in what context.
