A Bocca Lips Now

Karl Edo Spook hopes you're not tired of his shop yet, because he just had to show you his new Bocca lip sofa! It has been on his want-list for ages, and finally he got hold of one. Karl Edo's friend Arne Vaa was happy to be the first to try it.

Update: I came up with a better headline, and my husband convinced me to change it.
If I hadn't, the waisted pun would have tormented him for ages :-)

Credits: Lip Sofa made by me, in polymer clay. Lego table and shelf. Ball clock on the wall made by me. "Pastil chair" and clocks in the shelf are by re-ment. Vases are beads, but the red vase is bought in Venice.

wow, it's a wonderful sofa, polymer clay - in germany "fimo" - is so very good for minis. but I love most the four clocks in the shelve, what a great idea!
thank you for sharing, I think nobody will be tired!

Brilliant! Wonderful! You are so clever. (Did you model for it yourself?) I am sure it's going to be a very popular item, just walking out the door! Has Karl Edo ordered any more yet?
I love all the clocks, and all the reds!

Thank you Oese! It's fimo here as well. I have bought a lot of it, but never got around to use it for something until I made this sofa.
I liked the four clocks myself :-) I had given one of the clocks to my daughter, so I had to lend it again :-)

Thanks Rebecca! And no, I must admit my lips aren't quite that voluptuous (nor so red):-) I bought a reac chair, but it was far to big, so I scaled it down. I think Karl Edo has infact ordered more sofas, because I wasn't totally pleased with this one but had to stop because it was getting so late. So I would like to try again some day.

Me encanta el aire "retro" que le has dado, el sofa esta genial¡¡¡ Me ha recordado a un sofa que viene en el juego de Pc Los Sims 2 que me encanta. El reloj y los jarrones perfectamente armonizados.

Felicidades¡¡¡¡ Me encanta. Carmen

Hallo
For en kule sofa sier nå bare jeg .Helt stilig ,ser besøket er rimelig fornøyd også .Kanskje han ønsker seg akkurat en sånn sofa ?
Janne :)

Pubdoll said...

Takk Janne, ser ut til at Arne Vaa likte sofaen også ja :-) Kanskje jeg må begynne med serieproduksjon? (Men det gikk med nesten to fimopakker til den ene sofaen, så det spørs)

Wow! you made the sofa!!
that is amazing! you are talented! it looks so 'comfortable'!

So cool! I don't have the Bocca sofa to compare, but it looks pretty darn close!! As usual, I love all the little details in Karl's store!

Pubdoll said...

Thank you Natalie!
I'm not sure it is though, I haven't asked Arne Vaa yet :-)

Pubdoll said...

Thanks callsmall! I have the reac sofa to compare with and it's close, but no sigar :-) But I have seen pictures of the real Bocca sofa, and mine is closer to that one than to the Reac version!

I'm allways so angry with me, because I do not understand these damned puns. Karl Edo Spook and Kaleidoskope - that came to me last week, when I said it loud.
this pun in the headline makes me angry too, UNTIL....
to say it loud and not only to read quiet is very helpful for me. Apocalypse now, am I right?
I'm so glad to "know" you, Helene.

Pubdoll said...

Well done Oese! I think you're clever to take these puns. I'm quite sure many English speaking people hasn't taken The Karl Edo Spook - Kaleidoscope pun yet, and the A Bocca Lips Now is as you say meant to sound like Acopalypse now. It just suddenly came to me when I should tell my son the name of the sofa.
I'm very glad to know you too Oese, and I really appreciate you taking the time to tell me you have understood the puns! I'm very busy at work these days, I work almost 11 hours a day, but hopefully I will be able to post more when the work's less stressful.

My dear Helene, words beggar when I click through, not expecting such spectacular work! I mean, I knew you are a great perfumier but sofa and clocks!!!!??? Dearie, go show your work to reac and they may contract you for signature limited one of a kind creations. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE with no qualifications and buts, both the sofa and the clocks. The sofa is lip smacking good but I am completely balled [sic] over with the clocks.

Pubdoll said...

Thank you so much Sans, but I 'm not that good :-) I have just made the "George Nelson Ball Clock" on the wall, the clocks in the shelves are by re-ment. The sofa is a scaled down copy of a reac sofa.

Tingeling said...

Wow, what a sofa, like the original one! And this is your first Fimo work, ooh. The style of the room is just perfect, the clocks in the shelf are clever idea and the wall clock is smart looking too.

Pubdoll said...

Thank you Tingeling, at least almost like the original one, I had to stop working at it, since it was way past bedtime. And almost my first fimo work. I have made cakes in fimo before, but making the cakes didn't include any sculpting.

I'm very glad you like the room, I have wanted that sofa in it for a long time and I'm very happy with it now myself :-)

Pubdoll said...

Thank you so much for the award Deborah! I really appreciate that you thought of me!
Hope you can upload pictures again soon, so we can see more of your fabulous work! And I used the red vase with long neck in this picture because of you and your comment on my last post :-)

Debora said...

How thoughtfull of you! Haha. No bead can substitute Venician glass ;-) As I said, your fresh wind through Blogland feels like spring. The problem with the pics will resolve its self I guess (I hope). How and when remains the question...
